Job Description

Farm Credit of Florida, ACA, with over $1 billion in assets, is seeking a Capital Markets Officer. This position manages customer relationships that involve the purchase of participation loans, Farm Credit leases, and/or syndications.  The position also includes the responsibility for ensuring the fee income and interest spread compensation offered are commensurate with the borrower’s market and risk profile, and with the Association’s financial goals.  The Capital Markets Officer is responsible for growing and servicing a strong, profitable and complementary portfolio of large and multi-lender accounts.  The incumbent will perform timely and complete risk analyses for all actions involving the Association’s Executive Loan Committee.  He or she will also manage external relationships with originating institutions and administrative agents that will include agent banks, Farm Credit institutions, USDA, FSA, and other commercial banks.  He or she will also complete extensive portfolio analyses and provide the appropriate reports to Executive Management on a periodic and ad hoc basis.   The successful candidate must have excellent salesmanship and negotiation skills, a minimum of 10 years of banking/finance/lending experience, and possess proven communication, analytical and organizational skills, in addition to the ability to take initiative and establish priorities.  Minimum Education Requirements:  Bachelors Degree in business, accounting, economics, or agricultural finance.  Advanced degrees are preferred.  The candidate should understand GAAP accounting and cash flow analysis with a working knowledge and skills using spreadsheet and word processing software.  Travel will be required with overnight stays of 1-3 days at least once a month.  Grade and Salary will be commensurate with experience.   Applicants may send resume to:
