The Senior Quantitative Analyst works directly with the Chief Risk Officer and Director Enterprise Risk Management to provide quantitative support in developing an integrated risk framework and defining the overall risk appetite and measuring the overall risk profile of the Bank.  The incumbent will build expertise in regulatory stress testing expectations and support development of AgriBank's enterprise-wide stress testing program, including framework design and subject matter expert coordination.  The incumbent will execute the risk analysis/modeling process, insuring appropriate theory, set-up and assumptions are utilized; assess reasonableness and correctness of results; test and validate assumptions and inputs; and identify alternative risk events that may be relevant to AgriBank and perform alternative analysis or scenarios.  The incumbent will also be expected to continually improve the analytical, modeling and data management processes, being familiar with industry best practices and taking initiative to improve bank practices. 

The incumbent will play a leading role in the implementation of a new economic capital and stress testing model.  The incumbent will lead AgriBank efforts to create a center of excellence for quantitative portfolio management modeling within the AgriBank District and Farm Credit System.  The incumbent will be the main interface with the model vendor and be a leading contributor to the Farm Credit System efforts in economic capital modeling.  The incumbent will also work closely with the Bank’s ALM modeling team to leverage expertise in quantitative modeling.

The incumbent will provide strategic support for the Bank's enterprise-wide risk management program; conduct risk analysis on District loan assets including efficient extraction and analysis of complex data bases; conduct customized portfolio studies to evaluate and measure risk when needed or requested; and coordinate the production of quarterly and annual risk based capital reports.

In addition to owning the development and on-going maintenance of models required by the Stress Test Financial Forecast process, the Quantitative Analyst will support teammates in achieving core responsibilities across AgriBank’s financial risk and stress testing programs, and support process owners to ensure analysis, decisions and results are effectively communicated to all internal and external stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree, (Masters preferred or relevant work experience may be considered a substitute for advanced degree) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Economics or relevant course work. Knowledge and/or experience in developing macroeconomic forecasting models, loss forecasting, time series models.  Five to 10 years of experience in economic capital and/or financial modeling is required.  Knowledge of the finance and lending industry including knowledge of financial markets and overall risk management and finance concepts.  Strong computer literacy and proficiency necessary in data query tools such as SQL, Crystal reports, Excel, Access and MS Office.  Professional certification such as CFA, FRM and PRM is preferred, as is knowledge of the agricultural industry.  Strong interpersonal skills in order to coordinate with other Bank business units to incorporate risk based capital component in profitability analysis, capital planning and capital stress testing.
