MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Provides technical expertise in accounting and lending systems, specifically serving AgriBank’s Commercial Loan Group and external participant lenders as well as other financial institutions (OFIs). Will have primary responsibility for servicing specific clients of the Commercial Finance Group (CFG), and Association Risk Asset Units (RAU) business services clients, all within the Cornerstone Lending System. Will identify accounting/lending system procedural problems, generate solutions, and initiate and participate in accounting and lending system development and enhancement efforts. Provides the processing of CFG participation loan syndications and FX/Securities transaction activity for select customers. Responsible for the timely processing of cash transactions generally in excess of $1 million. Work entails managing aggressive deadlines and a large portfolio of loans. Will also have shared responsibility for processing daily Asset Pool loan activity as well as serve as a primary back-up to various other functions of the department, including, but not limited to, State Bond Program financing activity/reporting and Farm Cash Management (FCM) account set up.Responsible for timely and accurate preparation and analysis of reports, both internal and external. Ensures effective customer service support at all levels within the lending groups for AgriBank.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting or equivalent work experience required. Four or more years of progressively responsible experience in Loan Accounting Operations, or the equivalent level of skills and competence. Proficiency working with mainframe or client/server accounting software as well as database reporting, spreadsheet, word processing, and ad hoc reporting software is required. Additionally, incumbent is required to have strong client service orientation as well as strong interpersonal skills. Farm Credit and/or commercial banking experience is preferred. PC literacy required. Must possess the demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities, have strong analytical and technical skills, have strong interpersonal skills, be a team player, obtain satisfaction in detail oriented work, work efficiently and effectively without daily supervision, and be organized and conscientious about providing consistently high level client service to both internal and external clients.
