Job Description

WHO WE ARE: Insight Technology Unit (ITU) is a software development team that is a joint venture of 9 Farm Credit Associations.  ITU and its 9 Farm Credit Associations are part of the Farm Credit System which carries an AA+ debt rating and has been dedicated to financing agriculture and rural development since its inception in 1916. ITU develops and maintains a custom .NET client server application (Insight) that is used by Farm Credit retail staff to originate and service loans.  ITU also develops and maintains a highly customized and integrated Microsoft Dynamics CRM solution that is used by Farm Credit retail staff to manage customer relations, originate and service loans and related services and automate internal processes. ITU’s software solutions are used by approximately 800 users in 100 locations across 6 states (North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri and Arkansas). ITU has aggressive plans to expand the breadth of its software offerings over the next several years and is seeking motivated and solutions oriented team players to achieve its vision.  ITU offers competitive compensation and outstanding benefits and perks.  We currently have two positions open for Business Analysts/Project Mangers in our downtown St. Paul, MN office. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Incumbent will be responsible for business analysis, project management, quality assurance and end user support for software solutions for the Insight Technology Unit. As Business Analyst/Project Manager the incumbent is responsible for business analysis and manages projects of both large and small scale and providing business direction to developers. Model Office Testing (user acceptance testing) – testing problems and projects in various model office environments (including 32 bit, 64 bit, Net 4.0, Office 2007, Office 2010, Internet Explorer 8 & 9, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and all future platforms).  Prepares testing documentation that is clear, concise, and complete, and is consistent with ITU standards. Develops time and cost estimates for work assigned.

This is a full-time position and is part of the ITU. This position reports to the ITU Managing Director and although it has no direct reports, incumbent is expected to contribute on projects with team members, clients, and 3rd party resources. The incumbent works with all 9 associations in the ITU ownership group and ITU primary business partner, AgriBank. 

Required Knowledge and Experience

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Management Systems, finance/accounting or a closely related field, 3 – 5 years of professional experience in business analysis.  Incumbent needs direct experience (at least 3 years) working as a business analyst and/or quality assurance analyst within the development environment supporting the financial services industry, preferably with a concentration in lending/loan origination. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is beneficial.
