Job Description

Title: Contact Center Representative
Office Location: Mankato, MN

Position Overview: The primary purpose of this position is to provide extraordinary service to all clients utilizing the services of Compeer COMPASS. The individual promotes Compeer Financial’s products and services to clients in order to more fully meet their financial service needs. The Contact Center Representative responds to all incoming telephone calls regarding account status, billing inquires, questions/problems and product/service inquiries. Identifies and addresses the client’s needs and performs client transactions, as directed. When necessary, the individual refers the client to another Compeer team member for additional follow-up. Based on established marketing strategies, initiates outbound calls to educate clients on Compeer’s products and services and to increase event participation in order to deepen our client relationships.

Successful candidates:

  • Identifies/verifies caller based on security questions; transfers funds through ACH, wires, checks, and internal loan transfers; processes registration requests; transfers calls to appropriate team member;
  • Initiates outbound calls for promotions, events, and targeted contacts to deepen client relationships;
  • Scans and electronically saves documents; follows retention policies for documentation destruction;
  • Assists clients with internet banking enrollment, password resets, performing transactions and other operating system support as needed;
  • Maintains calls and service level requirements; tracks calls received in line with department goals; participates in process enhancement projects; and,
  • Ensures collateral insurance status through monitoring of loss payables; maintains data integrity related to client demographics.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Some post high school education in accounting, business administration or related field;
  • Minimum of 2 years related work experience, with prior contact center experience in the financial industry preferred;
  • Background in agriculture preferred;
  • Very good accuracy and attention to detail essential;
  • Very good client service skills essential;
  • Requires very good interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time management skills; and,
  • Requires very good computer skills including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
