Job Description

As a key member of the Finance Operations team, you will provide technical expertise and supervision in cash management, general accounting, financial and operational functions to AgriBank and its associations. In this role, you will ensure that all cash desk and operational systems are running, daily processing is staffed sufficiently to handle the high volume of transactions, and will provide direct customer support to AgriBank, associations and their clients as needed.

Additionally, this role will ensure that all departmental procedures and policies are maintained and updated including the Internal Control for Financial Reporting (ICFR) requirements, develop and deliver procedures and training to cash desk staff, and will provide feedback to respective parties from the Finance Operations team on enhancements and updates. You will be responsible for the performance of three to five team members and will provide work guidance and direction on a daily basis.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, agricultural business or a related field
• 5 years of related experience
• 3 years of supervisory experience
• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) received through the Association of Financial Professionals preferred
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Expert knowledge of bank and cash operations
• Working knowledge of cash management products and services
• Working knowledge of the Farm Credit System
• General knowledge of investment, debt and derivative products and services
• General knowledge of US capital markets instruments
• General knowledge of Office of Foreign Asset Control enforcement and compliance
• General knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, practices and methods
• Skill at working with relevant data systems
• Skill in utilizing a systematic approach to trouble shoot and problem solve
• Skill in analyzing information to formulate logical and objective conclusions
• Skill in selecting, managing, coaching, motivating and developing a team
• Skill in listening and conveying awareness of a customer's problem or issue to find resolution
• Skill in establishing and maintain relationships with a variety of internal and external individuals to advance the organization’s interests and increase personal success
• Oral and written communication skills, sufficient to exchange information effectively with peers, manager and customers
