Digital (Information) Security Program Manager

Agawam, MA

 

What you will do:

  • Lead the execution of security assessments to understand compliance risks, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose remediation plan in line with compliance goals and business strategies
  • Oversee the development, implementation and enforcement of security policies, standards and procedures and educate employees on systems security standards and procedures. 
  • Serve as liaison for projects such as NIST Compliance, Secure SDLC development issues, network review and hardening recommendations, etc.
  • Manage the implementation, maintenance, and enforcement of policies, procedures, and controls as defined in the digital security strategy
  • Manage client engagements related to execution of digital security and privacy.
  • Identify technological opportunities and evaluate the Information Security and privacy impacts on the client's business

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation and administration of the Digital Security Program.
  • Manage the implementation and administration of Information Security’s high-visibility initiatives and program implementation. Serve as liaison/project manager for projects such as NIST Compliance/IT security issues and third party oversight.
  • Prepare status reports and metrics on security matters to develop security risk analysis scenarios and response procedures.
  • Manage and assist Information Security specialists in day-to-day information security monitoring to identify and remediate information security risks, threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Provide technical oversight of enhancements and tuning of Information Security monitoring tools to collect, integrate and correlate security events, establish operational threshold levels to establish relevant alarms and notifications, and ensure continuous functionality, availability and enhancement of the tools. Manage integration of these tools to standardize and enhance reporting. Evaluate cross functionality of the tools to determine possible consolidation opportunities. 

 

Required Experience

  • Minimum of seven (7) years in information security role, with three (3) years of managing information security or IT operations with deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience in information technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Management Information Systems with demonstrated and proven technical and operational management experience or equivalent experience.
