Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:  Provides sales staff with viable leads and helps to build a strong, positive identity for MidAtlantic Farm Credit within the marketplace. Promotes our mission statement, both with internal and external audiences.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  • Creates, develops and distributes materials to support the marketing objectives of the association and its regional sales team, which include but is not limited to internal and external communication, pertinent market research, publications, electronic and social media, and mailings.
  • Creates, develops and produces campaigns, advertisements and direct mail pieces to promote the association’s services and support its larger objectives.  Includes tracking campaign effectiveness in CRM.
  • Coordinates sales and public relations sponsorships/events for the region and association—communicating all pertinent information to staff.
  • Assists with development of content for website, blog, social media, and other communications platforms.

                                                                                                              

    REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications or equivalent experience. An additional 1+ years of marketing experience required.  Knowledge of sales preferred.
  • Advanced word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, personal computer skills, as well as understanding the marketing process.
  • Demonstrated creative writing, proofreading and editing experience.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to farm visits, branches, training, etc. 
  • Demonstrates detail orientation and adaptability.
  • Ability to foster open communications; demonstrated listening and speaking skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Builds internal and external networks; understands trends impacting the business.
  • Identifies customer/sales needs; meets or exceeds said needs through effective campaigns.
  • Analyzes issues; produces effective, practical decisions/solutions.
  • Understands social and digital media.
  • General knowledge of agriculture preferred.
