Description/Job Summary

Has the overall responsibility with other Marketing Department personnel in working with the branch teams and market segments to ensure these groups have the tools and skills to effectively market Carolina Farm Credit's products and services and reach business plan goals and objectives.

Responsibilities/Duties

Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to:

  1. Association Contributions, Sponsorships, Tradshows, and Marketing Events – Budget, track, schedule, analyze and make recommendations on all contribution, sponsorship, tradeshow and event opportunities within our area and state-wide as appropriate. Develop a plan each season to ensure we have staffing, collateral and an eye-catching presence at all the events. Maintain and store our exhibits and marketing collateral and check-out to branches as needed. Make recommendations for participation for the coming year.
  2. Coordinate Corporate Mission Fund – Maintain online application, applicant database, and grantee data. Communicate with all applicants. Work with others in the department to plan an event to recognize award recipients, publicize and promote the program throughout.
  3. Databases, Marketing Mailings, and Budgeting – Secure access to our Farm Market ID database, maintain and recommend uses for data, maintain EDA and produce monthly report for loan officers. Work with loan officers and regional managers to create mailings and campaigns to utilize these databases.
  4. Marketing and Customer Service – Understand and appreciate association business plan and goals. Work with branches to help accomplish their goals. Build relationships and work to keep customers and employees informed of changes in products and services. Serve as back up to customer/prospect inquiries received via email. Share marketing and ad requests with marketing specialist and marketing coordinator and provide backup for them when one of them is out of the office.
  5. Marketing Campaigns, Events and Special Projects – Responsible for assigned marketing campaigns and events including tv/radio campaign. Take these projects from concept to execution as requested. Attend various meetings as requested by management.

Required Qualifications

  1. Education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, or related field.
  2. Strong interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and salesmanship.
  3. Displays original thinking and creativity.
  4. Demonstrated creative writing, proofreading and editing skills.
  5. Ability to travel for farm visits, training, overnight travel, etc.
  6. Ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
  7. Ability to work independently with minimal instruction.
  8. Self-motivated, career-oriented, with ability and desire to learn and willingness to apply new procedures and concepts.
  9. Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office Programs, desk top publishing, and web design.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Farm Credit experience.
  2. Agricultural knowledge and experience.
  3. Skills gained through lending and business development.
