Farm Credit Thanks Trump Administration for Rural Commitment

WASHINGTON, D.C. – President and CEO of the Farm Credit Council Todd Van Hoose, released the following statement following President Donald J. Trump’s remarks at the American Farm Bureau Federation meeting today:

“Farm Credit thanks President Trump and his administration for focusing on rural America. We look forward to working with the president and Congress to pass a strong Farm Bill, expand trade opportunities for farmers and rebuild rural infrastructure.

“We also thank Agriculture Secretary Perdue. Rural America has no greater advocate than Secretary Perdue and his leadership of the Interagency Task Force on Agriculture and Rural Prosperity produced a report that effectively identifies the specific challenges facing rural communities and agriculture.

“As a founding member of the Rebuild Rural Coalition, Farm Credit has appreciated many invitations from the administration to provide input and specifics. From broadband to transportation to clean water and more, it is clear the administration understands the dramatic challenges facing rural communities and agriculture.”
