Sullivan Farmer Elected to Farm Credit Council Board

hspace=7border=0Dale Crawford, of Sullivan, was elected to serve on the Farm Credit Council Board by the AgriBank District Farm Credit Council on January 22, during the Farm Credit Council Annual Meeting in San Francisco, California.

The Farm Credit Council is the national trade association of the Farm Credit System, a U.S. network of borrower-owned cooperative lending institutions and service organizations. Based in Washington D.C., The Farm Credit Council represents the Farm Credit System in legislative and regulatory lobbying before the United States Congress government and state legislatures.

“It is a privilege to have the opportunity to serve the AgriBank District in working with the Farm Credit Council on national legislative issues. I look forward to representing Midwest agriculture as we defend Farm Credit’s unique and successful structure in order to best serve agriculture and Rural America in the future,” says Mr. Crawford.

Dale has served on the Farm Credit Services of Illinois association board since 2006. He raises corn and soybeans on his Moultrie County farm. Dale is also a director of the Moultrie County Farm Bureau and the Illinois Soybean Association and serves as secretary-treasurer of the Moultrie-Sullivan Junior Fair Association. He earned a degree from the University of Illinois and is an alumnus of the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Program. Dale and his wife, Suzy, reside in rural Sullivan and have three grown children.
