Ag New Mexico Announces New CEO
CLOVIS, N.M. – The Ag New Mexico Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Frank Shelton has been hired as chief executive officer.
Shelton comes to Ag New Mexico with a strong background in agricultural lending in both the Farm Credit System and commercial banking arenas, including more than 12 years of Farm Credit experience in Arizona. Most recently, he was the president/chief executive officer of a commercial bank in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Shelton earned a bachelor’s degree in agriculture mechanics from the University of Arizona, and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
The Ag New Mexico board said that Shelton’s tenure as both an agricultural and commercial lender will give him the insight to help drive the financing organization as it moves into new and varied fields throughout its statewide territory.
Ag New Mexico, Farm Credit Services (FCS), ACA is a customer-owned rural lending cooperative that finances agricultural production, agribusiness, rural land and country homes. It is headquartered in Clovis, N.M., and has lending offices in Belen and Las Cruces. The co-op is a part of the nationwide Farm Credit System, the oldest and largest source of rural financing in the United States.
