Former CFO Tom Hill Inducted into FCBT Academy of Honor

AUSTIN, TX, Apr. 12, 2012 — Former Farm Credit Bank of Texas (FCBT) Chief Financial and Chief Operations Officer Tom Hill was inducted into the bank’s Academy of Honor at the 2012 FCBT Annual Stockholders Meeting in Fort Worth, Texas, on March 30. The award establishes a $10,000 scholarship that will be presented in Hill’s name to a student attending a university of his choice.

Established in 1968, the Academy of Honor recognizes outstanding individuals for their service and contribution to agriculture and to Farm Credit. To date, 55 people have been inducted into this prestigious group.

A 36-veteran of the Farm Credit System, Hill served as the bank’s chief financial officer from 1994 until his retirement in November 2010. In this role, he oversaw the bank’s finance division, including the management of loan pricing, interest-rate risk management, financial planning, financial reporting and accounting systems. In 2003, he took on the role of chief operations officer as well, which included management of the information technology and human resources departments. Respected by colleagues throughout the Farm Credit System, he made contributions to a number of national System workgroups.

Prior to joining the Farm Credit Bank of Texas in 1987, Hill worked at the Federal Intermediate Credit Bank of Spokane and the Farm Credit System Capital Corporation.
