From the Field: NAFB Trade Talk

It’s been another busy week for Farm Credit!

We have seen a lot of interest in our 30 Days of Thanks series on Facebook, and for that, we are grateful!

If you are looking for the most efficient and effective way to connect with agricultural media, look no further than the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) Convention and Trade Talk. Yesterday in Kansas City, five experts from across the Farm Credit System participated in nearly 50 radio, TV and online interviews in just six hours at Trade Talk, a one-of-a-kind media relations event held every year at the NAFB Convention.

Subject matter experts included Paul DeBriyn from AgStar Financial Services, Mike Loyd from Farm Credit Services of Illinois, Doug Stark from Farm Credit Services of America, Jeff Swanhorst from AgriBank and Alan Woodard from CoBank. The experts addressed questions ranging from regional perspectives on the drought and land values to those on risk management, the economy and the Farm Bill. Check out the online photo gallery to see our Farm Credit experts in action.

The Farm Credit National Communications team also got the chance to catch up with several National Contributions Partners on the trade show floor including FFA, Farm Safety 4 Just Kids, 25 x ‘25, USFRA, NCBA and other friends of agriculture. Thanks to all of our partners and experts for making this another great event for Farm Credit!

NAFB leads, promotes and supports growth in agricultural and rural broadcasting for the benefit of their members, audience and industry.
