Taking place just days after Farm Credit recognized the start of its 100th year of support to rural communities and agriculture, the 17th annual Agriculture Media Summit earlier this week provided the first national external outreach opportunity of the Farm Credit 100 program. From the Field: Monumental Milestones in Washington DC

Each year the 4-H Citizenship Washington Focus program is sponsored through the National Contributions Program. Farm Credit sponsorship provides scholarships for 4-H youth from historically black land grant universities and tribal colleges to attend the summer program. This year was extraordinarily special because of the 125th anniversary of the universities’ establishment as land-grant institutions. The week was filled with celebratory activities and opportunities to connect with leadership from each college within the system along with members of congress and Farm Credit representatives.
