One of America’s favorite pork products is bacon: last year, we ate 1.1 billion servings of bacon, an increase of 6 percent over the year before. Farm to Flagpole: Independence Day 2014

In honor of Independence Day, millions of U.S. flags are being displayed on homes and businesses, in lawns and on flagpoles. Some of these flags are plastic, some polyester or rayon, but a great number are made from U.S.-grown cotton, produced by dedicated cotton farmers in 17 states, including families like the Fanns and the Parkers.
