As National Farm to School Month winds to a close, Farm Credit is highlighting activities and events sponsored by some of our member organizations across the country. As with our national sponsorship of this organization, these local and regional activities demonstrate Farm Credit’s broad support for the important goals of the National Farm to School Network (NFSN): educating children and their families about how their food is grown; increasing access to and consumption of fresh, locally raised food in our schools; and supporting local farmers and local economies by encouraging the development of local markets.
